Younes Smaili is set to make his long awaited MMA debut on July 5 at LFL in Amsterdam, marking the beginning of a new chapter in an already highly accomplished combat sports career.
A proven name in world level kickboxing, Smaili has competed against some of the biggest athletes in the sport since turning professional at just 18 years old. With a professional record of 43 wins in 48 fights, he has built an impressive résumé that includes international experience, championship success, and recognition as one of the top ranked lightweight kickboxers in the world. Now, after years at the elite level in kickboxing, he makes the full transition to MMA.
This debut represents a significant step, as Smaili enters a completely new sport with the same ambition and mindset that carried him through the kickboxing ranks. LFL provides the platform for him to develop, evolve, and begin chasing success inside the cage.
On July 5, he will face Ebrima St Louis in his first professional MMA bout. St Louis enters the contest with momentum of his own, coming off a first round finish in his professional debut and now looking to spoil Smaili’s highly anticipated entrance into MMA.
